DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures safe work practices are implemented at all times. Report any safety issues or problems to Supervisor and EHS Manager immediately.

Maintains high level of service and work performance, and also supports and promotes a positive and cooperative team environment which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.

Prioritizes work orders to ensure that the most critical work is being addressed.

Produces daily and weekly schedules in conjunction with the maintenance manager.

Assists planning and scheduling of work orders for I/E technicians.

Develop detailed work plans and produce high quality job packages for corrective and preventative maintenance work requests.

Walk down the work request to gather all information needed to produce a quality plan

Develop man-hour estimates for each job to be used in development of the daily and weekly schedule.

Determine all resource requirements including components for the work requested.

Creates, uses, and maintains plant history and other technical information to include in current job plans.

Ensures the plans allow for the efficient assignment, scheduling and execution of maintenance work

Develop new and refine existing preventive maintenance plans developing calibration sheets, PM checklist, make recommendations to remove PM’s that do not add value and/or obsolete

Interacts with all key stakeholders/customers (maintenance, technical, operations, scheduling etc.).

Ensures work orders are being adequately documented and closed on a timely basis.

Develops detailed plant specific work procedures.

Train new I/E technicians in plant specific work using detailed work procedures, location of plant drawings and documents and the use of the CMMS system.

Maintains plant I&E documents to ensure that up-to-date information is available for use by plant personnel.

Participates in the ongoing coaching and evaluation of I/E technicians.

Provides troubleshooting assistance to technicians as needed to help complete critical work.

Evaluates spare parts availability and recommends additions to the store room as needed.

Edits spare parts descriptions and creates equipment BOM’s.
-
Provides data for reporting; downtime information, abnormal reports, etc.

Manages the ongoing maintenance of the onsite cogeneration facility, troubleshooting its operation and interfacing with third-party service company.
-
Oversees the operation of the HRVOC service to ensure they are operating properly. Interfaces with the third-party service company to maintain a minimum of 95% reliability.

Provides technical assistance to the Engineering Department in the development and execution of new projects and provide field supervision/observation of the work being performed.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
-
BS in Electrical Engineering with strong instrumentation focus.
-
8+ years Chemical plant experience.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills.
-
Knowledgeable in DCS hardware/interfacing.
-
PLC Experience is highly desirable.

Strong organizational and effective time management skills.

Flexibility in managing changing priorities and ability to work with minimum supervision.

Must be willing and able to work in a strong team environment.
-
Good communicator and effective at building and maintaining positive relationships.
-
Proficient in MS Word & Excel.
