Senior Process/Project Engineer

Salary: $85k-$95k+ 20% Bonus
BS Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical) accredited program
5 + years in Process/ Project Engineering role
3 - 5 years of experience in petrochemical environment
Knowledge of applicable legal requirements and engineering specifications and standards.
Project Management skills including economics and cost estimating
Solid design experience with emphasis on distillation and crystallization processes
Technical knowledge of process equipment (including columns , pumps, heat exchangers, fired heaters, steam boilers, compressors and reactors), instrumentation and controls
Computer skills, including Word, Excel, AutoCad, and SAP
Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills
Exposure to PSM/ISO9001 environment.
Application of process simulation techniques and modeling software (Aspen etc.)
Equipment sizing, design, purchasing & installation knowledge
Knowledge and application of Recognized and Generally Accepted Good engineering Practices.
Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PHA, MOC etc.)
Sound technical judgment
Proven troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Data interpretation skills
Manage and implement mechanical integrity strategy and program.
Abide and manage the Management of Change process (including document control)
Provide timely technical support in cooperative coordination with Operations and Maintenance to identify, develop and implement solutions to continuously improve and optimize process performance, and ensure process and equipment reliability
Project Management and implementation for assigned site and process improvement projects from concept to scope, design, construction and startup.
Follow the guidelines of Process Safety Management, Responsible Care and good ESH practices
Develop, maintain and implement engineering practices, standards and management systems in accordance with Process Safety Management, RAGAGEPs and established Project Management principals.
Assure QA/QC activities on assigned projects and areas of responsibility.
Ensure that all Safety, Health and Environmental systems are upheld to ensure environmental and safety compliance.
Assist as needed in the development of new or updated Process Safety Information including P&ID updates, Heat & Material balances, operational procedures and documentation.
Facilitate Process Safety Reviews (Hazop’s) as necessary and participate in MOC’s, incident investigations, etc.
Assist in the development of training materials for Oil City plant hourly operations personnel
Develop and maintain the equipment inspection schedules.
Develop, organize and oversee process unit test runs
Analyze process data for trends and make recommendations for improvements
Oversee boiler and cooling water chemical treatment systems and coordinate with chemicals and service vendor
Serve as site ISO9001 and Responsible Care Management System internal auditor
Safety awareness internally, with neighboring businesses, and community
Comply with all environmental laws and regulations and enforce compliance with company procedures and policies.
Generate maintenance work orders as needed
Track and update action items in the Incident Reporting System
Fill in for Production Manager during vacations, business trips, etc.
Cover for Maintenance Manager for vacations, illness, etc.
