Salary: $95k- $105k+ 20% Bonus

 

BS Chemical Engineering accredited program5 + years in Process/ Project Engineering role

Minimum ten years of chemical industry experience in a petrochemical environment

Knowledge of PSM/ISO9001

Working knowledge of process equipment, instrumentation and controls

Sound technical judgment

Proven troubleshooting skills

Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

Data interpretation skills

Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills

Computer skills, including Word, Excel and SAP

Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PHA, MOC etc.)

Knowledge of distillation and crystallization processes

Knowledge of manufacturing equipment including columns , pumps, heat exchangers, fired heaters, steam boilers, compressors and reactors

Ability to effectively perform test runs

Ability to analyze data for trends and to view data critically

Ability to focus on facts rather than assumptions or emotion in conflict situations

Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with customers and co- workers across the organization

Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality of customer and company information

Safety awareness internally, with neighboring businesses, and community

 

Production of various products on specification

Achieve production, safety and efficiency goals

Training, development and supervision of Oil City plant hourly operations personnel

Ensuring safety and environmental compliance

Process Safety Management Practice

Continuous Improvement of production processes

Day-to-day process units’ supervision of hourly personnel

Meet planned production quantities to ensure product available for scheduled sales

Ensure that all products are produced to specification

Provide weekly production schedules by using sales forecast, inventory guide lines, raw material availability, and

available resources ( manpower, equipment, supplies)

Training, coaching and disciplining of team members

Ensure that existing operations are following the guidelines of Responsible Care and good ESH practices .

Comply with all environmental laws and regulations Enforce compliance with company procedures, policies and regulations.

Updating of operating procedures and training materials

Daily, weekly and monthly reporting

Cooperative coordination with Maintenance and Engineering to identify, develop and implement solutions to

continuously improve process performance

Participate in Hazop’s, MOC’s, etc.

Serve as site ISO9001 and Responsible Care Management System internal auditor

Interface with Customer Service, Sales, and SHES

Maintenance work order approval

Track and update action items in the Incident Reporting Systems

Administer labor agreement fairly

Abide by MOC process (including document control)

Fill in for Plant Manager during vacations, business trips, etc.

Cover for Maintenance Manager for vacations, illness, etc.
