Salary: $80k-$90k+ 10% Bonus
Requires a 4-year college degree. BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Technical training/experience desired: SPC, PSM, BAPP, Hazop, Root Cause Analysis.
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in the use of a computer and computer applications such as MS Office and SAP.
Monitor and direct daily production activities.
To know, understand, and ensure the unit is operated within its limits according to all applicable policies and regulatory permits.
Provide assistance to operations personnel to ensure safe operation of the plant.
Provide plant personnel needed process knowledge.
Track production and unit consumption rates.
Control operating costs.
Review operating data daily and report and Investigate deviations from set operating parameters and initiate corrective actions.
Trouble-shoot and resolve equipment and operating problems in the plant.
Monitor environmental emissions and wastewater discharge.
Ensure that work orders are entered correctly and approved in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with all site, corporate, and external stakeholders.
Assist the Operations Manager in improving effectiveness and efficiency of plant Operations.
Provide vacation relief for Operations Manager.
Train and ensure operations personnel are qualified to safely perform their assigned duties.
Maintain and develop operating procedures Ensure all operations personnel know and receive their required regulatory, safety, and environmental training.
Identify needed process modifications and equipment changes to improve plant operations.
Support and participate in all training initiatives as required.
Assist in PHA reviews, Regulatory, Environmental, Safety, and ISO audits, and ensure
that action items resulting from these audits and safety incidents are completed.
Attend and conduct safety meetings and area inspections of the plant. To ensure
that action items resulting from these meetings are completed.
Assist Maintenance and Engineers with Capital Projects work and design and
evaluate unit operations for process improvements.
